Krirk University recently hosted an international seminar and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 13 universities to enhance academic cooperation. The seminar took place on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in the International Academic Conference Center at Krirk University.
The university warmly welcomed a delegation of 39 executives from the Accounting Association of Indonesia (IAI) and the Accounting, Management and Economic Forum (FAME) of Indonesia attended the seminar to discuss “Artificial Intelligence and Business Trends in 2024.”
The seminar began with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs and Dean of International Islamic College Bangkok. He emphasized the significant impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on transforming industries and economies, stating that we are at the intersection of technology and business.
Associate Prof. Supat Teravecharoenchai, Vice President for Academic Affairs, also highlighted the dynamic force of AI and the importance of staying ahead in these changing times.
Prof. Dr. Puji Handayati, representing the Committee of the International Academic Program (IAP) of Indonesia, expressed delight and gratitude for the warm welcome from Krirk University executives. The delegation’s visit was the result of a collaboration among 13 universities that sought to exchange experiences with international universities.
The seminar featured Dr. Choonhapong Thaiupathump, Assistant to the Vice President of Special Affairs (Information Technology), who spoke on the topic of Generative AI Awareness in Education. Prof. Dr. Grahita Chandrarin from Universitas Merdeka Malang shared insights on ‘The Future of Business Intelligence’. The seminar provided valuable knowledge on modern technology in education, the economy, and the business sector. Mr. Hlaing Minn Khant served as the moderator for the event.
In addition to the seminar, lecturers from the Committee of International Academic Program (IAP) organized teaching activities as part of the Teaching Mobility Project, benefiting students from the International College and the International Islamic College Bangkok.
The seminar concluded with a signing of the MoU ceremony between Krirk University and the 13 participating Indonesian universities. The MoU encompasses various collaboration frameworks, including academic exchanges, research projects, joint human resource development, faculty and student exchanges, and student internships. This milestone signifies Krirk University’s commitment to advancing its international presence and reputation.
