On December 11, 2024, Mr. Wang Chang Ming, Chairman of the Executive Board of Krirk University, and Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs, along with senior executives, faculty members, and staff, welcomed H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Thailand, during his official visit to Krirk University.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the organization of the Rector Forum of Russia and Thailand under the theme “Education in Russia and Thailand: University—the Space of Innovations,” scheduled to take place on January 21–22, 2025.
The meeting was held in the University Council Chamber at Krirk University and aimed to foster educational collaboration between Thailand, Russia, China, and ASEAN countries, emphasizing the advancement of innovation in higher education institutions.
The discussion highlighted key areas such as building research cooperation networks, facilitating the exchange of personnel and students, and sharing knowledge beneficial to the development of international education.
During the discussion, H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin expressed his admiration for Krirk University’s active role in promoting international academic collaboration. He also reaffirmed the Russian Embassy’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through future educational projects and activities.
The Rector Forum of Russia and Thailand, scheduled for January 2025, will serve as a significant platform bringing together educational leaders from top universities in Thailand, Russia, China, and the ASEAN region.
The forum is designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences, with the ultimate goal of fostering innovation and advancing education to address challenges in the digital era.
As a co-host of the event, Krirk University remains dedicated to serving as a central hub for international academic collaboration. This forum presents a pivotal opportunity to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations while contributing to the continuous development of education in an era of borderless learning.
