On September 26, 2024, Krirk University organized the international conference titled “Thailand – Nepal Internationalization Summit 2024: Shaping the Future of Global Education Exchange” at the Crystal Pashupati Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The event was honored by Dr. Shatrughan Gupta, President of Nepal Public Campus Associations, who presided over the opening ceremony, and Dr. Ram Bahadur Adhikari, Secretary of National Committee Higher institutions and secondary schools association Nepal, who delivered the keynote address Dr. Chanidapha Nunualvuttiwong, Assistant to the Chairman for International Education Development and Director of International Affairs, extended a warm welcome to participants and educational partners from all sectors.
The primary goal of this conference was to promote international education cooperation between Thailand and Nepal. Dr. John Christopher Walsh, Vice Dean of the International College and Director of the International English Program, presented the university’s International English Program to the attendees, which included academics, representatives from leading universities, education specialists, and representatives from over 70 institutions across 30 educational organizations.
The summit also provided a platform for exchanging insights and experiences on modern education trends and curriculum development, preparing young people in the digital era to meet the demands of the global job market.
Furthermore, over 20 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Krirk University and educational institutions, as well as business organizations in the hospitality sector in Nepal. These MoUs aim to promote student enrollment at Krirk University, facilitate academic and research personnel exchanges, and create frameworks for future collaborations.
The Thailand-Nepal Internationalization Summit 2024 received strong support from various sectors in Nepal. Krirk University remains committed to fostering educational excellence and expanding international cooperation networks to enhance the quality of education between the two countries.
