Krirk University organized an academic seminar entitled “Pathway to Success in Arab Markets”, providing valuable insights and strategies for entrepreneurs, students, and the general public to access the high-potential Arab market. The seminar highlighted the importance of halal standards, cultural understanding, and effective communication for successful market entry.
Distinguished speakers shared their expertise and real-world experiences, including:
- Captain Dr. Aumpol Khamwilai, Assistant to the Executive Chairman and Dean of the International College of Aviation and Aerospace, Krirk University, who discussed international business management and Arab cultural understanding—critical factors for successful negotiations and network expansion with GCC countries.
- Dr. Alhuda Chanidpattana, Lecturer at the Faculty of Communication Arts, Bangkok University, who presented on cross-cultural communication strategies and the role of Soft Power in shaping a positive image for Muslim markets.
- Mr. Ampon Trakarnroek, Head of the Bangkok Arabic Language Center, Krirk University, who emphasized the crucial role of Arabic language and cultural knowledge in building trust, mutual understanding, and sustainable business opportunities.
The seminar was held on 18 July 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 hrs, at Silk 4 Room, BITEC Bangna. It served as a key platform to equip Thai entrepreneurs with knowledge and readiness to expand into the global marketplace, particularly the Arab market with its vast opportunities.
In addition, the Bangkok International Islamic College, Krirk University, proudly served as the moderator for the Main Stage session at Mega Halal Bangkok 2025 under the topic “Middle-East Export Mastery: Winning the Hearts of Arab Markets”. Mr. Piranat Boonmalert, Assistant Director of the Thai Halal Business Development Center, moderated the session with three distinguished guests:
- Mr. Olan Weranond, CEO and Co-Founder of Durian Corporation Co., Ltd.
- Mr. Sharif Jaidee, Chairman of Jaidee Group World Co., Ltd. and S.H. Al Shaya Thailand Co., Ltd. (Thai–Kuwaiti)
- Dr. Apiwat Rakchat, CEO of Akmal Construction Co., Ltd., Thai Flower Co., Ltd., and PRSR Global Company Limited.
This session offered practical strategies for exporting halal products and services to Arab markets—emphasizing not only compliance with halal standards but also understanding consumer needs and cultural nuances. Krirk University remains committed to promoting knowledge-sharing and enhancing the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs, empowering them to compete and grow sustainably in the global trade arena.
