Krirk University proudly hosted the 19th National and International Academic Conference in 2023, centering on the theme “Developing a New Normal for a Sustainable Society.” The distinguished Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, President of the National Assembly, graced the occasion as the honorary chairman of the opening ceremony at the International Academic Conference Center, Building 2, Krirk University, Bangkok.
Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, President of the National Assembly, commended Krirk University’s commitment to organizing an annual academic conference. Recognizing its significance as a platform for faculty, students, and researchers to showcase and exchange academic work, he emphasized the integral role of such events in contributing to national development. The showcased works demonstrated practical applications and the potential for further development to enhance sustainability globally.
Associate Professor Suphat Teerawetcharoenchai, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, highlighted the conference’s purpose. It served as a platform to disseminate academic works, fostering collaboration between internal and external faculty members, and promoting academic services to society, including Community-Based Research (CBR). The conference featured esteemed speakers from leading international universities, enriching the academic discourse on sustainable development.
The event, attended by over 1,000 participants both in-person and online, showcased diverse research studies. These included community-based projects, such as the “Development of Mushroom Paste Occupational Groups into Community Enterprises” and “Upgrading Knowledge towards Developing a Standard Community Accounting Curriculum.” These initiatives aim to stabilize professional groups at the community level, receive legal recognition, and contribute to the overall development of community enterprises.
The conference also featured special lectures by Prof. Dr. Abdul Hafidz Omar from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali and Prof. Liu Zhenping from Nanning Normal University, addressing topics related to achieving sustainability and current issues in cross-border higher education, respectively.
