Bangkok, May 3, 2024 — Krirk University’s International Affairs Office recently concluded a week-long Mobility Academic and Cultural Exchange Program with students from Chennai Institute of Technology, India. The program, which ran from May 3 to May 10, 2024, aimed to foster educational cooperation and cultural exchange between the two institutions.
During their visit, exchange students from Chennai Institute of Technology participated in a variety of enriching activities. They explored historical sites in Ayutthaya and Bangkok, immersing themselves in Thai architecture, temples, arts, and customs. Traditional Thai attire and cuisine further enriched their cultural experience.
A significant highlight of the program was the signing of a “Memorandum of Understanding” (MoU) between the two institutions, reinforcing their commitment to ongoing academic cooperation. The MoU was signed by Prof.Dr.Jaran Maluleem ,Vice President for International Affairs and Mr.Sriram Parthsarathy, Executive Chairman of CIT’s Board of Directors.
Academically, the Office of International Affairs organized specialized courses for the visiting students. Notable offerings included “Big Data AI Operations Analytics” taught by Professor Poramate Ruksawong, IT Instructor, and “Management and Marketing” led by Dr. John Christopher Walsh, Associate Dean of the International College of English Programs.
The exchange students also contributed to cultural diversity by showcasing Indian arts and culture during the Graduation Event for the Academic Year 2024. Additionally, they participated in events at SCBX NEXT TECH, a thriving tech community in Bangkok, where they shared technological knowledge and prepared for the future in an era of rapid advancements.
The program concluded with a farewell ceremony on 9th May 2024. On this occasion, a farewell address and massage of motivation were facilitated by Dr. Hambalee Jehma, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs.
Our exchange students received Certificate of participation at the end of their scheduled mobility visit marking a significant record as Krirk University’s pioneer International Exchange Program/Students’ Mobility Participants.
The farewell ceremony had in attendance Dr. Hambalee Jehma, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs, Professor Chanidapha Nunualvuttiwong, Director of the International Affairs Office, Dr. Choonhapong Thaiupathump, Assistant to the vice president of special affairs (information technology department), Professor Poramate Ruksawong and Lecturer Mansoor Hayat and staff from the international Affairs Office.
