On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, a significant meeting took place at the council meeting room of Krirk University, where the esteemed leadership team, including Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawong, President, Assoc. Prof. Supat Teerawetcharoenchai, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Sarawut and Sun, Assistant Chairman of the Executive Committee for Strategy and Development, and Dr. Bandit Aroman, Assistant Vice President for Foreign Affairs, along with other key officials, warmly welcomed the executive team from KOLEJ UNIVERSITI ISLAM PERLIS (KUIPs), Malaysia.
Led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rozaimi Bin Romle, President of KUIPs, the discussions centered around fostering academic cooperation between the two institutions. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rozaimi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, considering it a positive indication to establish meaningful relationships and create a framework for academic collaboration. KUIPs, renowned for its focus on Islamic studies, is located in the state of Perlis, Malaysia.
Sr. Nur Syaedah Binti Kamis, Head of Marketing at KUIPs, highlighted the academic programs offered, including Islamic Studies, Al Quran and Sunnah, Business Management, and Islamic Finance and Transactions. A reciprocal invitation was extended to students from Krirk University to pursue studies at KUIPs.
The discussion concluded with an agreement to develop a comprehensive framework for educational and academic cooperation, addressing common issues in Islamic studies. Prof. Dr. Krasae recognized the opportune moment to formalize this collaboration, instructing the Bangkok International Islamic College to closely cooperate in enhancing educational potential. Plans for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Krirk University and KUIPs in the near future were set in motion.
