Four Krirk University academics transformed first-year students into international competitors by integrating Chinese language studies with business administration. Dr. Anukul Kanjanasook, Associate Professor Dr. Chanettee Piphatnanggoon, Dr. Sittapawee Thanasottigulnan, and Lecturer Paisarn Arunchoknumlap guided three teams to the 5th Zhongqing Cup 2024 finals at Chiang Mai University, despite only one month’s preparation.
Students created software solutions addressing “Creative Software: Enhancing Quality of Life in the Digital Era,” developing Business Model Canvases, Chinese-language films, applications, and Mandarin presentations. This interdisciplinary approach combined cultural understanding, linguistic competency, and business strategy for authentic Chinese market penetration.
Results exceeded expectations: one Outstanding Creative Award and two Commendation Awards from all finalist teams. Additional initiatives included Content Creator competitions and Live Streaming Commerce activities, providing real-world experience selling Thai products to Chinese markets while establishing sustainable income streams for local communities.
