On July 31, 2025, at the International Conference Center of Krirk University, the International College of Aviation and Aerospace, in collaboration with the Office of the President, organized the international academic seminar titled “The Power of AI: Inspire, Integrate, Impact.” The event drew significant interest from more than 300 participants across government, private, educational, and technological sectors.
The seminar was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including:
- Dr. Wetang Phuangsup, The Secretary-General of the National Digital Economy and Society Commission, who delivered the opening keynote speech,
- Professor Dr. Krasae Chanawongse, President of Krirk University,
- Mr. Wang Changming, Chairman of the University Council, who extended a warm welcome to the attendees,
- Mr. Li Shaoyun, Vice President for Administration, who delivered the report and objectives of the seminar.
A highlight of the event was the panel discussions featuring keynote speakers and leading experts from both Thailand and abroad, including:
- Emeritus Professor Dr. Maneeratana Sawasdiwat Na Ayutthaya
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Wisarut Lawiti
- Dr. Apithep Saekow
- Dr. Setthaphan Krachangwong
As well as international guest speakers such as:
- Dr. William Rivers
- Dr. Arti Khosla
- Dr. Raymond Woo
- Professor Hiroaki Ogata, Kyoto University
- Mr. Panya Yattham, representative from Google Thailand
- Mr. Qu Dong, Representatives from Hisense
- Mr. WANG Yufei and Dr. Liao Boi-Yee from China
Another key feature of the seminar was the Focus Group discussions involving six groups, aimed at gathering policy recommendations on AI in Thailand. These sessions were led by Dr. Peemakorn Dommongkol and a team of distinguished faculty members from Krirk University. The outcomes will be compiled into policy proposals to support the ethical and sustainable development of AI in the country.
Additionally, the International Opening was delivered by Professor Dr. Chengqing Zong, President of ACL. Participants had the opportunity to watch a live broadcast from the ACL 2025 conference in Vienna, Austria, presented by Dr. Thepchai Sapnithi, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Group—demonstrating a strong link between local initiatives and the global advancement of AI knowledge.Krirk University extends its sincere thanks to all organizers, speakers, panelists, and participants from all sectors who contributed to the resounding success of this event.
