On February 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, the U.S. Embassy in Thailand hosted an important event to inaugurate the International Academic Partnership Program (IAAP). Krirk University was represented by Dr. John Walsh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of International College of English Course; Miss Chanidapha Nunualvuttiwong, Director of International Affairs; and Miss Virasinee Luevisadpaibul, Embassy Coordination Officer. The participation of these university officials was instrumental in introducing Krirk University’s academic programs and discussing avenues for partnership with American educational institutions.
During the event, Dr. Walsh showcased Krirk University’s strengths in English language education and its potential for international collaboration. The team engaged in networking activities with other Thai educational institutions, exploring collaborative projects that could emerge from the IAAP program.
A key topic of conversation was the forthcoming NAFSA conference, which is known for its wide-reaching impact, drawing thousands of institutions from around the world for networking purposes. Krirk University plans to capitalize on this event by hosting a Thailand booth, which will serve as a platform for promoting educational and cultural exchanges between Thailand and the United States.
The kickoff event set the stage for promising cooperation possibilities. Moving forward, the Krirk University delegation will pursue the contacts made during the IAAP kickoff to discuss potential partnerships. They are also preparing for a substantial presence at the NAFSA conference, aiming to highlight the university’s academic services and to establish new international connections.
Through these initiatives, Krirk University demonstrates its dedication to expanding international engagement and fostering global academic partnerships. The university will continue to engage with the U.S. Embassy and its Cultural and Educational Attaché to identify additional collaborative opportunities.
