Bangkok, February 13, 2024 – In a landmark meeting aimed at promoting international educational collaboration, Krirk University welcomed an esteemed delegation from the Embassy of Pakistan. The gathering focused on reinforcing academic and cultural linkages, with an emphasis on expanding Krirk University’s academic network through the Asian Islamic University Association (AIUA).
The university’s delegation included Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President of International Affairs; Dr. Bandit Aroman, Assistant to the Vice President of International Affairs; Miss Chanidapha Nunualvuttiwong, Director of International Affairs; and International Affairs Officers Miss Virasinee Luevisadpaibul and Mr. Muhammad Raksaithong. Representing the Embassy of Pakistan were Col Shahadat Hussain, Defence Attaché, and Ms. Atiporn Yinbua, Secretary to Defence Attaché.
During the meeting, the participants engaged in strategic discussions on creating an educational setting that fosters critical thinking and intercultural dialogue, leveraging Krirk University’s leadership in private education and its culturally diverse student body. The talks also highlighted the existing collaboration between Krirk University and the Islamic University in Islamabad, underscoring the shared educational values between Thailand and Pakistan.
A pivotal outcome of the discussion was the Pakistani Embassy’s initiative to facilitate Krirk University’s entry into the AIUA, promising to broaden the university’s educational horizons and foster connections with institutions engaged in Islamic studies across Asia.
Furthermore, the meeting explored the development of academic exchanges, student exchange programs, and joint research projects, aiming to cultivate an international campus atmosphere and encourage global cultural exchanges. The Pakistani delegation expressed keen interest in participating in seminars and study tours to enhance understanding of Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
