Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs and Dean of International Islamic College Bangkok at Krirk University, is enhancing academic collaborations with Al Azhar University and students in Cairo. He is promoting vocational opportunities in Thailand in response to the demand for a Halal hub in the country.
Prof. Dr. Salama Dawood, President of Al Azhar University, welcomed executives and lecturers from Krirk University who expressed willingness to strengthen the relationship between the two universities. They are engaging in commitments to sign an MoU at Krirk University and to develop the Bangkok Arabic Language Center in Thailand in coordination with the Sheikh Zayed Center for Teaching Arabic. Over 3,500 students from Thailand are enrolled in Al Azhar University, with some expressing interest in applying for an MBA in Islamic Business Administration at Krirk University in the upcoming semester, particularly those seeking to develop skills in Islamic business and educational management.
Chanidapha Nunualwitthiwong, Director of International Affairs, emphasized that studying at Krirk University provides more opportunities to learn foreign languages such as Chinese, English, and Arabic. The university’s multicultural environment is a unique aspect attracting many international students such as from China, ASEAN and Africa.
During a special lecture on Islamic Finance and Islamic Logic attended by over 200 students, Dr. Pariya Prayadsap and Dr. Smeet Esore, including Dr. Jakkrit Marnnoi from IICB, interacted with the students encorage to study from the bechalor to Ph.D. IICB is a grate opportunity for all to apply scholarships specially in academic year of 2024.
Prof. Jaran highlighted that students from Al Azhar University could enhance their knowledge of Islamic Finance, the Halal Industry, Hajj and Umrah and Islamic Educational Management Studies at the International Islamic College Bangkok, Krirk University.
