Bangkok, May 7, 2024 – In a significant step towards enhancing academic and educational collaboration, Indonesia’s Institut Teknologi dan Kesehatan Mahardika University (ITEKSMA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Krirk University in Thailand.
The event was attended by esteemed representatives from both institutions. Krirk University was represented by Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs; Dr. Hambalee Jehma, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs; Dr. Bandit Aroman, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at International Islamic College Bangkok; Professor Chanidapha Nunuanwuttiwong, Director of the International Affairs Office; Ms. Ameera Boonmalert, Secretary of International Islamic College Bangkok; and Mr. Muhammad Raksaithong, an official of the International Affairs Office.
From ITEKSMA, Dr. Hj. Yani Kamasturyani, President of the institute, led the delegation. During her address, Dr. Kamasturyani expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Krirk University’s management and emphasized the importance of this partnership in building a robust framework for academic cooperation. ITEKSMA, founded in 2002 and located in Cirebon, West Java, specializes in public health and information technology. Its goal is to become a nationally renowned institution with global competitiveness by 2043.
Prof. Dr. Jaran highlighted the significance of the MoU, noting that Indonesia has been a key partner for Krirk University, which has signed several agreements with Indonesian institutions. He reiterated Krirk University’s dedication to enhancing its education system and human resource development.
Dr. Hambalee added that the visit from ITEKSMA would lead to tangible actions, particularly in educational and academic exchanges. Dr. Bandit spoke about Krirk University’s preparedness to establish international academic partnerships, emphasizing the longstanding educational ties between Thailand and Indonesia.
Ms. Chanidapha reflected on Krirk University’s international heritage and the diverse student body it attracts. She anticipated that this partnership would bring Indonesian students to Krirk University in the future.
The meeting concluded with the formal signing of the MoU and MoA, officiated by Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem for Krirk University and Dr. Hj. Yani Kamasturyani for ITEKSMA. Prof. Chanidapha Nunuanwuttiwong and Dr. Inda Gumilang signed as witnesses.
The agreements cover joint course exchanges, research support programs, publication of academic works, and other areas of cooperation.
The collaboration between ITEKSMA and Krirk University marks a significant milestone in their commitment to fostering academic excellence and international cooperation.
