On Monday, December 16, 2024, Krirk University, led by Professor Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs, and Dr. Chanidapha Nunualvuttiwong, Assistant to the Chairman for International Educational Development and Director of the International Affairs Office, along with staff from the International Affairs Office, partnered with the Global Association of Transnational Education (TNE Global) from Vietnam to host the “Thailand-Vietnam International Education Summit 2024.” The event, held under the theme “Shaping the Future of Global Education,” took place at the Pullman Saigon Center, Vietnam.
The summit aimed to strengthen relationships and establish a framework for academic collaboration between Krirk University and educational institutions in Vietnam. Additionally, it served as a platform to promote Krirk University’s academic programs to educational administrators, academics, students, and prospective learners interested in studying in Thailand. The event further aimed to enhance global awareness of Krirk University and build robust international academic networks.
The event was inaugurated by H.E. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul-General of Thailand to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, who remarked, “This summit represents a significant opportunity for exchanging ideas and experiences between the two countries to jointly advance global education and foster sustainable collaboration in the future.”
In his keynote address, Professor Dr. Jaran Maluleem emphasized the importance of educational exchange, academic collaboration, and the internationalization of students and staff. He highlighted that this partnership is a key initiative to enhance educational quality and prepare students for the global stage while fostering strong relations within the ASEAN region.
The summit saw participation from representatives of over 13 educational institutions from Thailand and Vietnam. Key discussions centered around international education trends, innovations in teaching and learning, and academic collaborations to address challenges in the digital age.
The event also featured the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between Krirk University and its partner universities in Vietnam. Additionally, an educational and technological exhibition showcased the potential of both nations.
The summit was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from participants, underscoring Krirk University’s dedication to promoting international educational collaboration. Krirk University remains committed to playing a pivotal role in advancing education in the region and on the global stage.
