\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Bangkok, May 7, 2024 \u2013 A significant event championed by the International Affairs Office of Krirk University took place at 10 a.m. This collaborative meeting between Krirk University and International Islamic College Bangkok aimed to strengthen academic and research ties. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs, with notable attendees including Dr. Hambalee Jehma, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs, Dr. Bandit Aroman, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at International Islamic College Bangkok, Assoc. prof. Dr. Pornpan Juntaronanont Director of the Institute of Research and Innovation, Ms. Chanidapha Nunualvuttiwong, Director of the International Affairs Office, Dr. Smeet Esore, the Director of the Master of Business Administration Program, Kasmara Sornsawan, Lecturer at Bangkok Islamic International College, Ms. Ameera Boonmalert, the Secretary of the College, and Mr. Muhammad Raksaithong, an International Affairs Official.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The delegation from Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (UIN Jakarta), Indonesia, included Prof. Dr. Euis Amalia, Head of the Faculty, Dr. Reni, and Mr. Mochamad Fathoni. The purpose of their visit was to engage with Krirk University\u2019s administrators and present a research paper titled “Fostering a Unified Halal Economy: Interconnecting Halal Business Sectors with Islamic Banking and Islamic Social Finance across Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.”<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Dr. Bandit commenced the meeting by providing an overview of Krirk University, highlighting its various faculties and the programs offered by Bangkok Islamic International College, which range from undergraduate to doctoral levels in Islamic business administration. This introduction set the stage for the discussions, aligning with the objectives of the visiting delegation from UIN Jakarta.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Prof. Dr. Euis Amalia introduced UIN Jakarta as a premier Islamic University in Indonesia, dedicated to advancing Islamic higher education to meet contemporary needs. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornpan emphasized the importance of the Halal certification process and its significant impact on Muslim consumer choices.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The meeting fostered fruitful discussions on several research topics, including the Halal process in Thailand, the principles of Islamic law in Indonesia, Public Academic Articles on Halal, and frameworks for academic cooperation between the two universities. Dr. Smeet highlighted the presence of Islamic Banks in Thailand and Krirk University’s courses on Islamic finance, emphasizing the mutual benefits of academic exchanges between the institutions. Professor Kasmara noted the expertise of Krirk University\u2019s scholars in Halal issues and expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Prof. Dr. Jaran concluded the meeting by discussing the challenges and importance of promoting an integrated Halal economy on an international scale, stressing the need for cross-sector cooperation. Dr. Hambalee highlighted the potential for expanding educational cooperation between Krirk University and UIN Jakarta, while Ms. Chanidapha referenced a recent memorandam of understanding aimed at fostering academic collaboration.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 This meeting marks a significant step in promoting academic and educational cooperation, aligning with Krirk University’s mission to support modern academic services tailored to societal needs.
