\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., A courtesy visit was extended by Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawong, President; Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs; Miss Chanidapha Nunualvuttiwong, Director of the Bureau of International Affairs; and Mr. Muhammad Raksaithong, International Affairs official, to His Excellency Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador, and Mr. Vladimir Kim, First Secretary for Education, at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Thailand.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 At the onset of the discussion, Prof. Dr. Krasae articulated the purpose of the visit, emphasizing the aim to strengthen relations and explore opportunities for educational collaboration, while fostering academic networks. Krirk University recently formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saint Petersburg State University of Economics. This agreement outlines a framework for enhancing the Thai-Russian University Presidents’ Meeting, facilitating academic exchange initiatives, fostering joint research endeavors, and promoting cultural exchange programs.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 As Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin addressed the delegation, he expressed sincere gratitude for the esteemed visit of the senior management. Representing the Embassy of Russia, he pledged full support to Krirk University across various dimensions, encompassing education, academic endeavors, language and cultural initiatives, and the coordination of joint meetings. Furthermore, he conveyed a keen interest in fostering artistic and cultural exchange and affirmed readiness to actively engage in related activities. Mr. Tomikhin underscored the embassy’s eagerness to collaborate with Krirk University in organizing events aimed at promoting and bolstering cultural exchanges between Thailand and Russia.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 In addition, Miss Chanidapha highlighted the international diversity among students at Krirk University. She noted that the university hosts a broad spectrum of international students hailing from countries including China, Burma, Nigeria, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, and Uganda.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Towards the conclusion of the discussion, Prof. Dr. Jaran emphasized the significance of the cooperation framework, particularly concerning matters pertaining to education and academic research. He illustrated this point by referencing the Russian Studies project at Thammasat University as an exemplary initiative. This project, among numerous others at various universities, stands as a commendable endeavor fostering mutual understanding through educational mechanisms. Prof. Dr. Jaran expressed optimism that this visit marks a crucial milestone in shaping a comprehensive framework for future cooperation.<\/p>
